Have you managed to go through our new August issue with Penny Smith on the cover? I was at the photo session with Penny and, as you can imagine, it was great fun. She was totally up for it and loved the clothes that we'd chosen for her. In fact, she's thinking of buying the maxi dress she wears on page 14 (by Ananya).
She looked great and we laughed when she told us that she loves her feet - hence why she's barefoot on our cover.
That started me thinking that I hate my feet! The only good thing about them is that they are small (size 5). I never wear strappy sandals and I have lots of problems buying stylish shoes. That means I have to buy quite a few to make sure that they look good all the time. Well, that's my excuse!
I'm not sure about wearing a maxi dress either. I loved the maxi coats the first time around, but the dresses remind me of my 'hippy' phase (and I am not talking about my shape!).
My thing at the moment is the wonderful cocktail rings that are everywhere. You can buy them at all price points. Go for the really big ones - they look great. The rule is just to wear one big ring on one hand and play down the rest of your jewellery. You'll have everyone admiring your hands - so much better than them looking at your feet!
