Sue's Blog: Ribbon Walks
Friday 20th June 2008
Last weekend my team and I had the most fantastic day out at Petworth House in West Sussex. It was the second of this year's Ribbon Walks – the first was at Blenheim in the Costwolds two weeks before.
Both walks attracted hundreds and hundreds of you, and on both days the sun shone down on us ensuring perfect conditions for those of us walking. There was a real party atmosphere as we finished. Have a look at our pictures from the days on our galleries – if you were there, you might spot yourself, and if you weren't, you'll find yourself inspired to take part next year.
Fingers crossed the weather's going to be fine again tomorrow for the last Ribbon Walk, which is in the beautiful Peak District, starting in the grounds of medieval Haddon Hall.
But even if the sun doesn't shine, I know it will be a fabulous and uplifting day. With more than 700 women (not to mention a few men) taking part, there'll be the great buzz and camaraderie we always find when woman&home readers get together. The Ribbon Walk is so special because everyone is there to raise money for Breast Cancer Care, which is such a fantastic, worthwhile charity.
Good luck to everyone walking tomorrow. And whatever you're doing this weekend, I hope you have as much fun as I know everyone's going to have at Haddon Hall.
Sue
